About Us

Christ’s Church of Chattanooga is committed to historic Baptist principles. We are a Reformed Baptist Church and a Southern Baptist Church and are committed to working along side those who desire to see Baptist Churches return to the old paths.

A Statement of Faith is simply a summary of what like-minded Christians believe the Bible teaches. There are two such documents that most closely represent our doctrinal positions:

1689 Baptist Confession of Faith
(There is a 1689 Confession in Modern English on the Founders Ministries web site.)

The Baptist Faith and Message

Pastoral oversight at Christ’s Church of Chattanooga is provided by a plurality of elders. Our Elders are equal in status and share the church’s teaching and counseling ministries. Our simple structure is the elders equipping the saints for the work of the ministry.

The default result of our simple, biblical church structure is age-integrated, or family-integrated, worship and ministry. Our structure rests on the sufficiency of Scripture, which says that we need nothing else but what the Bible teaches in principle, precept and command to rightly structure and operate the church of Jesus Christ.
